Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban is scheduled to arrive in Brazil on Aug, 8 for a four day official visit at the invitation of Brazilian Foreign Minister Mario Gibson Barboza. Eban’s visit, which will take him-to Brasilia. Sao Paulo and Rio, is in return for that made by Barboza to Israel earlier this year. Eban is also due to visit Bolivia and Peru.
(In Jerusalem it was reported that on his way to South America, Eban is scheduled to stop for a short while in London, but no meetings are planned. On his way back from South America the Israeli diplomat is expected to spend several days in New York where he may meet with. United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim and senior administrative officials. Eban may also go to Washington to meet with U.S. Secretary of State William P. Rogers.)
