Abba Eban, Israel Ambassador to the United States, declared here today, before leaving to resume his post in Washington, that he will continue to discuss with American officials the problem of Israel’s security. He discussed that problem exhaustively with the heads of the Israeli Government during his visit, Mr. Eban declared.
The Ambassador said he was greatly impressed, on his visit home, with the grave and keen anxiety of all Israeli citizens here who recognize that their country’s security problem has changed due to the altered military situation brought about by British evacuation of the Suez Canal zone and the American promise to grant arms to Egypt.
Mr. Eban will stop off in Paris and London before continuing to Washington within the next few days.
