The Israel Embassy today termed “inaccurate” press reports alleging changes in Israel Ambassador Abba Eban’s position of Ambassador to Washington and head of the Israel delegation to the United Nations.
The Embassy said that Ambassador Eban returned here yesterday to resume duties in Washington and at the United Nations after government consultations in Jerusalem and meetings with the Israel Ambassadors to Britain and France in London. Mr. Eban will seek an appointment with Secretary of State Dulles this week, the Embassy said, to transmit his government’s views crystallized during talks in Jerusalem.
