Foreign Minister Abba Eban says in a magazine interview to be published here tomorrow that his country would not support East Germany’s admission to the United Nations “even if Israel should stand alone” on the issue. Eban told the magazine, Quick, that East Germany has consistently refused to fulfill its historical obligations on reparations and has adopted an extremely hostile attitude toward Israel. He said his government’s attitude toward the East German regime was decisively influenced by the fact that many former Nazis now hold senior positions in it. He said Israel could prove at any time that Nazis held government positions in East Germany.
