Israel Ambassador Abba Eban tendered a farewell luncheon at the Statler Hotel in honor of Henry A. Byroade, Ambassador-designate to Egypt and outgoing Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
The luncheon was attended by high-ranking diplomatic and Federal officials as well as leaders of Jewish organizations. Ambassador Eban paid tribute to Mr. Byroade for the latter’s performance of duties as Assistant Secretary of State.
