Part of the archives of the Central Committee of the Russian Zionist Organisation in the days of the Czarist Empire has been discovered in Vilna. The archives include many historic documents and letters, among them two letters from Achad Ha’am on the subject of the pogroms of October 1905, and urging the convocation of a conference of Jewish personalities to consider the position of Russian Jewry.
