The suicide of a leading Jewish business man and his wife and daughter, as the result of economic ruin, has caused depression among the business men.
Joseph Preissach, his wife and child, ended their lives when they learned that Preissach’s business had been ruined.
Not a day passes in Budapest without suicide of a Jew being recorded. The situation is attributed to the financial and economic policy of the Bethlen government, which is carried on along lines of economic anti-Semitism, recalling the regime of the Grabski government in Poland in 1925, which set for its purpose the taxing of Jewish business men out existence.
