Irving Mitchell Felt, prominent New York communal leader, has accepted the chairmanship of the Economic Reconstruction Committee which will seek to stimulate the sale of Israel Bonds in order to finance the recovery of Israel’s economy which was disrupted by the Middle Eastern war.
The announcement of the formation of the Committee to be headed by Mr. Felt was made by Abraham Feinberg, president of the Israel Bond Organization. Mr. Felt is the immediate past president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, having served for three consecutive years through June, 1966. Mr. Felt is also chairman of the Society of the Founders, the honor group of the American Friends of the Hebrew University.
