The council of the Emigdirekt, United Jewish Emigration Committee which is now in session here, will send a commission to Ecuador in South America to examine conditions there and determine whether the country is suitable for Jewish immigrants. Dr. M. Kreinin, president of the Emigdirekt, informed the council that the Ecuadorian republic is prepared to submit favorable conditions for Jewish immigration to that country.

The council decided to send a delegation to the Portuguese government to negotiate for the settlement of Jews in Angola, Portuguese West Africa.

At the same time the Emigdirekt council decided to participate with other organizations in the expense involved in sending a commission to investigate conditions in Bureya, proposed autonomous Jewish region in Soviet Siberia, in the event that such a commission is decided upon.
