The Ecuadorean delegation to the United Nations General Assembly, which meets at the end of September, will be instructed to support the demand for a Jewish state in Palestine, President Velasco Ibarra and Foreign Minister Jose Vicente Trujillo have informed M. Toff of the Latin American Department of the Jewish Agency.
Toff, who recently arrived in Ecuador, was received by the President and Trujillo, and the latter promised that he would ask other governments in South America to join with Ecuador in supporting Jewish aims at the U.N.
