Jacob Edelheit, New York University sophomore, has been awarded the $1,000 foreign study scholarship which is given annually by Mrs. Andrew Carnegie through the Institute of International Education, Secretary Harold O. Voorhis of the university announced yesterday.
Edelheit, who was chosen for the award from among forty other outstanding students, led his class with a 94.3 per cent average.
He has held honor scholarships during his two years at N. Y. U. He will specialize in the study of philosophy and history at the University of London for his junior year, he said.
