Das Deutsche Echo, the publication which has been temporarily kept off the approved text book list of New York City schools by the Metropolitan Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German because of alleged pro-Hitler propaganda, has been stricken from the list of approved texts for junior high schools. It was the only publication on the supplementary list presented by Associate Superintendent John S. Roberts to be removed by the Board of Superintendents.
Whether this is indicative of a similar action insofar as senior high schools is concerned is unknown. Superintendent of Schools Harold G. Campbell said he wanted to look more fully into the matter before making a decision.
