Edward M. M. Warburg, until recently with the SHAEF Mission (Belgium) as a major in the U.S.Army, and former chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, flew to Europe from La Guardia airport by clipper this morning to engage in the JDC’s work in behalf of Jewish refugees in displaced persons camps in Germany and Austria as well as in other parts of Europe. Mr. Warburg was in charge of setting up a number of displaced persons centers in front line areas while serving with SHAEF.
