Edwin Wolf, the 2nd., librarian of the Library Company of Philadelphia, historian and author, took office last night as president of the Philadelphia Federation of Jewish Agencies at the Federation’s diamond jubilee annual meeting and dinner.
Mr. Wolf became the second president of the Federation since it was formed in 1956 by the consolidation of the Federation of Jewish Charities and the Allied Jewish Appeal. He succeeded Abraham L. Freedman, who served three one-year terms in accordance with Federation by-laws limiting officers to three successive terms in any elective position.
