The Egyptian Government has made a number of international attempts to secure a change in the status of Palestine, it is revealed today in the official government organ, Al Balagh.
“Premier Mustafa Nahas Pasha,” the paper writes, “has been working to overcome the problem of Palestine’s special international status as a League of Nations’ territory. He has been making continued demarcates, the nature of which cannot be revealed at present, but which are expected to lead to successful results.” The paper, which has the largest circulation of any Arab newspaper in the Islamic world, declares that Palestine, and not the Arab Federation question, will be the major topic of conversation between Sheik Yourself Yassin, private secretary to King Ib Sund, and the Egyptian premier when the former reaches Caire this week.
