Egyptian prisoners of war held by Israel staged a wild demonstration in their camp on Rosh Hashana, it was disclosed here today. The rioting resulted from the fact that, due to the holiday, no fresh bread had been baked to feed the prisoners. The POWs chanted “Nasser, Nasser; Bread, Bread.” The demonstrators were given explanations for the absence of fresh bread that day, and dispersed without punitive action by the Israeli authorities.
