Premier Nahas Pasha of Egypt who is trying to form a pan-Arab federation, is ready to initiate conversations between Jews and Arabs for “a working arrangement” in Palestine, the London Times reports.
Speaking to the Times correspondent in Cairo, the Egyptian Premier said that “a solution to the Arab-Jewish rivalries must be found and found quickly if serious trouble is to be avoided.” He emphasized that such a solution is essential for furthering Arab unity, and for peace and stability in the Middle East. The Times correspondent adds that “Arab countries are unanimous that the Palestine question must be solved since Arab unity is unthinkable for them without participation of an Arab Palestine.”
