Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said he may meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak soon to help bring peace to the Middle East. Speaking after meeting with President Clinton at the White House, Mubarak said he is not pessimistic after Clinton’s summit with Syrian President Hafez Assad and that there needs to be a greater effort to reach peace in the region.
