Egyptian security officials denied that they had arrested terrorist Abu Nidal. Rumors of his arrest in Egypt have been circulating in Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Abu Nidal, whose real name is Sabri al-Banna, is wanted for many terrorist atrocities, including the Dec. 27, 1985, attacks on Rome and Vienna airports in which 17 people were killed.
