The Egyptian Navy explodes depth charges all night long at the entrance to Alexandria harbor for fear that Israeli frogmen or submarines might sneak through to attack shipping in Egypt’s largest port.
That report was brought here yesterday when the Greek passenger vessel Eurpheous docked at Haifa with 300 pilgrims, mostly American Baptists, on a Holy Land tour. The ship was the first in years to sail directly from Egypt to an Israeli port. The Eurpheous was carefully inspected and placed under special guard for the three days that her passengers will be visiting Israel.
