Ehud Olmert launched a blog.
Starting Monday, the Web site of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office (www.pmo.gov.il) features a blog about Olmert.
The blog is currently titled “Travel Diary” and focuses on Olmert’s visit to Japan, describing him in the third person. Its authorship is unclear. An English translation of the Hebrew original is available online.
Many Israeli politicians, including opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have long written blogs as a means of widening their support bases.
