Eight European insurers may face sanctions in the United States because they have not accounted for how they handled claims from Holocaust survivors, according to an international panel probing the claims. The panel, led by former U.S. Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger, cited Aegon, CGU, Gerling, Munich Re, Sorema, Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group, Swiss Life, and Prudential Insurance.
