Eight of the Jewish workers arrested in connection with the labor clash in Nes Zionah, have been sentenced to one month’s imprisonment each. None of the Arabs, of whom many were arrested, was sentenced.
The trouble at Nes Zionah followed the engagement of Arab workers by a Jewish orange contractor and the boycotting of Jewish labor. A clash between Jewish pickets and the Arabs resulted in a number of injured on both side and the arrest of nine Jews and numerous Arabs.
