Eight Polish high school students will visit New York and Washington next week as part of a Holocaust remembrance project. The students are recipients of a 2004 award in a national screenplay-writing contest on the Holocaust, which attracted entries from more than 200 high school students around the country. Entrants were asked to write a screenplay on the Holocaust experience of members of the World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust. The Polish branch of the group organized the U.S. program, called “Remembrance for the Future.”
