Eight Torah scrolls stolen from a New York City synagogue were recovered.
Police on Thursday arrested a maintenance worker and alleged accomplice on charges of criminal possession of stolen property, AM New York reported.
The scrolls, valued at $500,000, were stolen last month from the Jewish Center of Kew Gardens Hills in Queens.
