Eight young activists from Likud and from Fatah, Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat’s party, met the chairmen of the Democratic and Republican parties during a visit to Washington. The group, alumni of a program held last year in Cyprus, also met with members of the U.S. peace process team at the State Department. The group was hosted yesterday by the Israeli ambassador in what was believed to be the first time that Fatah activists visited the Israeli Embassy in Washington.
