Eighteen young Blacks from South Africa are in Israel for training as pilots. They are citizens of Ciskei, a “homeland” established for Blacks by the Pretoria government but not officially recognized by Israel. For that reason, the trainees carried South African passports when they landed in Israel last week. The President of Ciskei, Lennox Sebe, also carried a South African passport when he visited Israel earlier this month.
