With a performance of the double bill, “Cavalieria Rusticana” and “I Pagliacci,” the eighth week of grand opera at the New York Hippodrome will start tonight.
A feature of the week will be the Thursday night revival of Thomas “Mignon,” never before heard at the Hippodrome. On Saturday night Hizi Koye, Japanese soprano, will appear in “Madame Butterfly.” Among the other operas on the program for the week will be: “Rigoletto,” “Samson et Dalila,” “La Boheme,” “Faust,” “In Trovatore” and “Aida.”
