The Franklin Institute today awarded to Prof. Albert Einstein its much-prized medal honoring him as an “outstanding scientist of the United States.” A similar medal was awarded to Sir John Ambrose Fleming of London.
The medal to Prof. Einstein was presented in recognition of his contribution to theoretical physics, particularly for his work on relativity and the photo-electric effect.
