Accompanied by his wife and Dr. Walter Mayer, his research assistant, Prof. Albert Einstein, left here last night for Antwerp on the first leg of his second trip to the United States. Because the hour of his departure was kept secret, Dr. Einstein was seen off only by his two daughters, his son-in-law and M. Planck, Nobel prize winner in physics in 1918.
Dr. Einstein was very cheerful and told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that his sole destination was Pasadena where he expected to begin research work immediately upon his arrival. He took particularly warm leave of his step-daughter, Margot, who was married yesterday to Dr. Dmitri Marianoff, noted Russian scientist and writer.
