The Albert Einstein Medical Center here was given a grant of $78,000 today by the National Institute of Health, to support continuing study of a specific bone disease first undertaken by the center’s research laboratories eight years ago.
The grant was announced by Dr. Pascal F. Lucchesi, executive vice-president and medical director of the center, and Dr. Samuel J. All, director of research. The specific disease, called osteoporoses, affects about 10 percent of the American population over age 50, afflicting women particularly.
