Yeshiva University’s Einstein College of Medicine announced here today that it is launching a $27,500,000 drive for a development program to strengthen and expand the institution’s resources and facilities for training, research and patient care.
George Alpert, president and chairman of the board of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, has been appointed national chairman of the campaign. A founder of Brandeis University, and formerly one of the national co-chairmen of the United Jewish Appeal, Mr. Alpert has served for several years as a member of the college’s board of overseers and as chairman of the institution’s Society of Founders.
