Einstein Sends 215 Books from His Library to Hebrew University

Prof. Albert Einstein has made a new gift to the National Library of the Hebrew University, it was announced today. The gift includes 215 books from Dr. Einstein’s personal library of natural sciences, philosophy and politics.

Two members of the Haifa Technical Institute staff have been awarded scholarships by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, it was announced today. Aharon Hirsch. a lecturer in physics, will be enabled to carry out research in magnetism in the Netherlands, while Aharon Kuten, of the Technion’s library staff, will study library work in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
