President Eisenhower today congratulated the more than 700 members of the New York Board of Rabbis for “their day to day work for social progress” on the occasion of the organization’s 75th anniversary, the celebration of which begins this week-end and continues through May 9. “It is inspiring to know of the continuing spiritual leadership of the members of the Board, and of their day to day work for social progress and for the betterment of the great metropolitan area in which they serve,” the President’s message said.
