President Eisenhower yesterday received at the White House the delegates to the 1960 White House Conference on Children and Youth, including several national Jewish leaders who are members of the delegation. The President urged the delegates to strengthen the spiritual values which are the foundation of America through the school, home and religious institution.
Among the delegates were Philip Klutznick, president of B’nai B’rith, Mrs. Moise Cahn, president of the National Council of Jewish Women, and Rabbi Marc Tanenbaum, executive director of the Synagogue Council of America, Danny Kaye, another member of the delegation, was also present.
Earlier, the delegation met at the opening of a three-day session and assigned Rabbi Tanenbaum to its theme committee, Mr. Klutznick to the finance committee and Mrs. Cahn to the organization committee.
