El Al Israel Airlines ‘first direct flight from Los Angeles and Chicago to Tel Aviv took off on time and completely full on June 18, amidst celebrations in both departure cities. The festivities included the dedication in Los Angeles of the new El Al Terminal at LAX Airport by Mayor Tom Bradley, and parties at the Century Plaza for both the general public and travel industry.
