El Fatah, the Palestinian guerrilla organization, has made an oblique threat against German citizens in Arab countries. The West German Foreign Ministry disclosed today the contents of a letter to the German Ambassador in Jordan, Dr. Hans Joachin Hille, from an El Fatah member who signed his name, A. Kamal. The Foreign Ministry denounced the letter which it said was being studied by the German Embassy in Amman and the Foreign Office here.
The writer said that El Fatah could no longer be “responsible” for the safety of West Germans in Arab countries. He attributed recent threats against Germans to injuries allegedly suffered by Arab student supporters of El Fatah in scuffles at the University of Frankfurt and Hamburg University where the Arabs and left-wing German student demonstrators disrupted speeches by Israel’s Ambassador Asher Ben Natan last week.
