Sir Landon Ronald, conductor, composer and principal of the Guildhall School of Music, has been elected permanent president of the Musicians Club, in which capacity he succeeds the late Sir Edward Eigar.
Sir Landon began his career as a solo pianist. He has conducted opera and led some of the most famous of the world’s symphony orchestras, and is the author of a number of well known compositions.
