The number of Rumanian schools offering courses in Yiddish as part of their curriculum has risen to eleven, it was announced here.
Bive of the schools are elementary schools for boys, four are elementary schools for girls and two are high schools. In all instances, the action followed requests by the parents of pupils for such courses. In addition, one school, in this city operates entirely in the Yiddish language and offers courses in Jewish history and culture.
