Israel Ambassador Eliahu Elath left London this afternoon now completing a nine-year tour of duty in Great Britain. He is returning to Israel via Leningrad where he will meet his 82-year-old mother.
A representative of Queen Elizabeth II, the mar shall of the diplomatic corps, senior Foreign Office officials and members of the diplomatic corps bade farewell to Ambassador Elath. In a brief statement to the press, the Ambassador lauded the excellence of Anglo-Israel relations and recalled the many tasks which still face the two countries.
