A leading Greek theologian has appealed to the Greek Orthodox Church authorities to eliminate anti-Jewish passages in the church liturgy.
The appeal was made by Prof. Amilkas Alevizatos in the Athens Ecclesiastical Journal, Nea Zoi, who cited the recent order by Pope John XXIII for the elimination of anti-Jewish passages from the Roman Catholic liturgy. He urged that action be taken before Easter on Easter Service material which has anti-Jewish passages.
