Funeral services were held today for Elkan R. Myers, Baltimore businessman and Jewish leader, who died at his home at the age of 69.
He had served as chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, was a Fellow of Brandeis University and a former vice-president of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. He had been named Baltimore’s Man of the Year by the Jewish War Veterans, the Advertising Club of Baltimore and the Jewish National Fund. He had been a Board member of the Israel Development Corporation, Sinai Hospital and the Baltimore Red Cross.
