The 10 Texas broadcasting stations which Elliott Roosevelt operates are resigning from the National Association of Broadcasters because of its ruling barring expressions of personal opinions on controversial issues on commercially sponsored programs, the President’s son announced yesterday at a press conference here.
While expressing disapproval of Charles E. Coughlin because he “fosters racial hatred Roosevelt said he believed the priest “had a perfect right to speak.” He termed the N.A.B. ruling a “curtailment of free speech and censorship in its worst form.”
