A vicious attack on Sasche Epstein, former editor of the “Freiheit,” New York Communist daily, is contained in a full page article in today’s “Emes” which characterizes him as an “ignoramus who knows nothing of Communist theories.”
The attack is the result of an article written by Epstein on Stalin in the “Roitewelt”, of which he is the editor. The “Emes” analyzes Epstein’s article and charges him with being “ignorant of the difference between a proletarian dictatorship and a proletarian revolution,” having no knowledge of what Leninism means, of being without understanding of the Communist attitude toward the minority question and with crippling Stalin’s ideas in his efforts to interpret them. The attack concludes with the statement that, “Epstein simply is very far from understanding the elementary points in Marxism and Leninism.”
