Dozens of Jewish merchants from various sections of Poland who came to attend the weekly fair at Smiegel, in the district of Posnan, were badly beaten by Endek anti-Semitic groups who raided the fair.
Large quantities of goods were destroyed before police succeeded in dispersing the attackers.
