Problems concerning American Jewish life and the publication of news of Jewish interest from all over the world were discussed at the three-day annual conference of the American English-Jewish Press Association which concluded here yesterday. Eleazer Lipsky, president of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, was the principal guest speaker at the annual luncheon of the conference.
The conference re-elected Joseph G. Weissberg, co-publisher and executive editor of the Jewish Advocate of Boston, president of the organizations. Other officers re-named by the association were Jules Miller of the Jewish Exponent of Philadelphia, Albert W. Golomb of the American Jewish Outlook of Pittsburgh and Leo H. Frisch of the American Jewish World of Minneapolis-St. Paul, vice-presidents; James Wissch of the Texas Jewish Post of Dallas-Fort Worth, secretary; and Milton Pinsky of the Ohio Jewish Chronicle of Columbus, treasurer.
Joseph Cummins of the B’nai B’rith Messenger of Los Angeles was re-named chairman of the executive committee. Other members of the committee are Eli Jacobs of the Buffalo Jewish Review, Morris Janoff of the Jewish Standard of Jersey City and Adolf Rosenberg of the Southern Israelite of Atlanta.
