The first issue of “The Long Island Jewish Star,” the first English-Jewish weekly to serve the entire Jewish community of Long Island, will be published October 9th, it was announced today by Z’ev Kronish, editor and publisher. There are 600,000 Jewish residents on Long Island.
According to Mr. Kronish, his publication “will be dedicated to reflecting the widest possible range of interests of this vital new Jewish community, particularly emphasizing those of cultural, religious, business and social value. “
