Ernest Bloch, the composer, arrives tomorrow on the S.S. Manhattan to conduct the American premiere of his new work, “Avodath Hakodesh” or “Sacred Service,” which the Schola Cantorum of 250 voices will present on Wednesday evening, April 11, at Carnegie Hall, with the assistance of the Metropolitan baritone, Friedrich Schorr, and eighty members of the Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra.
