Ernestine Eschelbacher, one of Germany’s outstanding Jewish social workers and pioneer social reformer is dead here at the age of 73. Frau Eschelbacher was the widow of Rabbi Joseph Eschelbacher, who was chief rabbi of the Berlin Orthodox community from 1900 until his death in 1916.
