The Esco Foundation has announced the granting of scholarships to two Israeli musicians to enable them to attend the Tanglewood a 29-year-old composer who will study with Aaron Copland, and Elyakum Shapira, a 23-year-old conductor who will receive instruction from Serge Kouasevitzky. The scholarship recipients are expected to arrive in the U.S. from Israel within a few weeks.
